He represents my inner child - the part of me that still gets excited over mail from friends, a colourful envelope, a “your parcel’s here!” notification, and anything else along those lines. Just a little too happy that something nice showed up. You call it instant gratification; I call it finding joy in the tiny things hehe.

You might see me referring to myself as Mimo sometimes, and referring to Mimo in third person other times. I guess it just depends on what I’m feeling that day ahaha.

Mochi Mail started because I couldn’t sit still. I spent my days in regular 9-to-5 jobs quietly daydreaming about doing something fun. No matter how much I job-hopped, I could never shake the feeling that working a corporate job just wasn’t meant for me. That feeling never really left, so eventually, I decided to chase it.

So, why mochi? It really started as just a cute name hahaha. But the more I sat with it, the more it fit. Mochi is soft and pillowy, best served a little warm - kind of like being wrapped in a blanket on a cold night. That’s the feeling I want my art to give you: comfort, nostalgia, and a tiny bit of joy. That’s the whole vibe I’m going for, and I hope you feel it whenever you come across my work.

When I started, the plan was simple: make my own stickers, then eventually venture into other types of stationery. But then a friend asked if I could customise some stickers for her Disney cruise, so she could use them for pixie dusting.

Wondering what that is? Yeap, I had never heard of it either until my friend brought it up haha. Pixie dusting is this really wholesome cruise tradition where passengers leave little surprise gifts for other passengers. Such a kind gesture from one stranger to another! I made her a batch, people loved them, and kind of by accident, that became the first thing I sold.

I still do the cruise stuff, and I have a lot of fun doing it! But I’m slowly growing into everything I first dreamed of too: stationery for fellow adults still tending to their inner child, humans quietly dreaming of escaping their corporate jobs, people who journal, hobbyists, DIY-ers, and anyone who just likes cute things in general.

I want Mochi Town to feel like a fun community - a cute space where we can vibe with our childhood selves and romanticise the tiny things.

Everything is drawn by me~ My art style leans retro, simple, and sometimes a bit silly. You may see me experiment now and then with different styles and products as I try to find my footing, so I hope you enjoy this journey with me!

Oh, and by the way, every single order is packed and put together by my own two hands. I know a lot of people find that part tedious, but I actually love it!! Something about preparing each one myself feels personal in a way I wouldn't trade away. Kind of like I’m quietly wishing you well while I pack your order?
